Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupAM Garbanzo Flour
1 cupCold water
1 medOnion
2 Garlic cloves
?bn Fresh parsley
Hot green pepper (to taste)
-- minced
1/2 tspCumin
Salt and pepper
1/4 tspNon-alum baking powder
1 pinchBaking soda
Procedures:
1Mix all ingredients, except soda, together in a food processor or blender.
2Mix thoroughly.
3(falafel may be frozen at this stage.
4Thaw completely before adding soda and cooking).
5When ready to fry, mix in the soda.
6Shape into small patties, 1-?inches in diameter and ?inch thick.
7Fry in deep, hot oil until lightly browned and crisp.
8Serve hot with tomatoes in pita bread.
9Add cucumber pickles if desired.
