Gingerbread ice cream

Ingredients:
1/4 cupSultanas
2 tbspRum, dark
2/3 cupMilk
1/3 cupSugar
2 Eggs
1/2 tbspMolasses, light
1 cupHeavy cream
1/2 tbspVanilla
1/3 cupGingersnaps, crushed
Procedures:
1Chop raisins and toss with dark rum.
2Set aside.
3Heat milk and sugar.
4Beat eggs and light molasses.
5Stir in a little hot milk, then add eggs to milk.
6Stir over low heat until mixture thickens, 2 to 3 minutes.
7Cover and chill.
8Add heavy cream and vanilla.
9Stir freeze.
10Stir in raisin mixture and crushed gingersnaps.
11Note: this recipe is for a 1-quart machine.
12Double or triple ingredients if needed for your machine.
