Cheesy mushroom canapes

Ingredients:
2 tbspButter
4 ozMushrooms, coarsely chopped
4 tspAll-purpose flour
2 cupShredded cheddar cheese
1 tspMustard powder
1 tspWorcestershire sauce
Fresh ground pepper to taste
8 Slices French bread (?)
2 tbspChopped fresh parsley
Paprika
Fresh parsley sprigs (opt)
Procedures:
1In a saucepan, melt butter.
2Add mushrooms and cook gently 2 minutes.
3Add flour and stir into mushroom mixture.
4Add cheese, mustard and worcestershire sauce.
5Stir well and heat through gently 2 minutes or until mixture begins to melt.
6Remove from heat and season to taste with pepper.
7Preheat broiler.
8Toast bread on one side only.
9Spread cheese and mushroom mixture on untoasted sides.
10Broil in preheated broiler 3-4 minutes or until melted and bubbling.
11Cut slices in half and sprinkle liberally with parsley and paprika.
12Garnish with parsley sprigs, if desired, and serve hot
