Cheese fondue from katherine smith

Ingredients:
1 Clove Garlic, halved
1 cupChicken Broth
1 tspLemon Juice
2 cupGruyere Cheese, grated
2 cupCheddar Cheese, grated
2 tspCornstarch
1 dashWhite Pepper
1 pinchNutmeg, grated
1/2 Loaf of Favorite Bread
2 Apples, sliced
Procedures:
1Rub inside of fondue pot with cut garlic clove.
2Place pot on stove, pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, and cook over medium heat until bubbly.
3Turn heat to low, and gradually stir in cheeses with a wooden spoon.
4Blend in cornstarch, and continue to cook, stirring constantly.
5In about 2-3 minutes, mixture should be thick and smooth (do not allow fondue to boil).
6Season with salt and pepper and nutmeg.
7Place fondue pot on it"s stand at the table, without the burner.
8Serve with bread cubes and apple slices
