Ingredients:

| cup | Grated parmesan cheese | | 1/3
| cup | Mayonnaise (Best Foods) | | | French bread |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a small mixing bowl combine parmesan cheese and mayonnaise. | | 2 | Stir in snipped chives or parsley, if desired. | | 3 | Set aside. | | 4 | Slice french bread lengthwise or into slices. | | 5 | If using sliced bread, place bread on the rack of broiler pan. | | 6 | Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat about 1 minute or till toasted. | | 7 | Turn bread over. | | 8 | Spread some of the cheese-mayonnaise mixture on the untoasted/cut side of the bread. | | 9 | Broil, 3 to 4 inches from heat for 2 to 3 minutes or till light brown |
