Cajun turnovers (festival)

Ingredients:
RICE MIXTURE
1/2 cupOnion, chopped
1/4 cupGreen bell pepper, chopped
1/4 cupCelery, chopped
2 tbspButter
1/2 cupCanned mushrooms, chopped
1 packLong-grain wild rice mix
-4.3 ounce size
2 cupWater
1 tbspWorcestershire sauce
2 tbspHot sauce
1/2 tbspGarlic powder
1/2 tbspRed pepper
DOUGH
2 canCrescent rolls
1 Egg, beaten
Procedures:
1Filling: saute onion, green bell pepper, and celery in butter until tender.
2Add mushrooms.
3Add rice and water.
4Stir.
5Add worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, and red pepper.
6Mix well.
7Bring to a boil, cover tightly, simmer for 10 minutes.
8Dough: while rice is simmering, preheat oven to 375 °F.
9Separate crescent rolls into rectangles.
10Seal the seams in each rectangle by pressing the dough together.
11Place rice mixture (trurnovers are easier to shape if rice mixture is chilled) in the center of each rectangle.
12Fold dough over and press with a fork to seal the edges.
13Brush the tops of turnovers with beaten egg.
14Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
15Bake 12-13 minutes
