Ingredients:
1/2 cupButter or margarine
1 tbspParsely flakes
1 tspCelery salt
1 tspGarlic powder
1/2 tspCayenne pepper
8 ea Drops hot pepper sauce
2 2/3 cupCorn Chex cereal
2 2/3 cupRice Chex cereal
2 2/3 cupWheat Chex cereal
1 1/4 cupFrench fried onions
Procedures:
1Preheated 350?oven.
2In 15 x 10 x 2 inch baking pan melt butter in oven.
3Remove.
4Stir in parsely, celery salt, garlic powder, cayenne and pepper sauce.
5Gradually add cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated.
6Bake 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
7Add onions, mixing well spread on absorbent paper to cool.
8Store in air tight container.
9Microwave directions*: in 3 ?quart bowl or 13 x 9 x 2 inch microwave-safe dish melt butter on high 1 minute.
10Stir in parsely, celery salt, garlic powder, cayenne, and pepper sauce; mix well.
11Gradually add cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated.
12Microwave on high 3 ?to 4 ?minutes, stirring every 1 ?minutes.
13Add onions.
14Cook an additional 1 ?minutes.
15Spread on absorbent paper to cool.
16Store in air tight container.
17*a 650 watt microwave was used.
18For other wattage ovens, time may need to be adjusted.
19Makes 9 cups.
