Ingredients:

1/2 lbsGround beef^
1 smallOnion, chopped (abt ?cup)
2 tbspAmerican cheese, grated
1/4 tspSalt
1/4 tspGarlic salt
1 Egg, separated
1 cupAll-purpose flour *
1/3 cupWater
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspPaprika
Vegetable oil or shortening
Procedures:
1* do not use self-rising flour in this recipe.
2Mix ground beef, onion, cheese, ?teaspoon salt, garlic salt and egg white; reserve.
3Mix flour, egg yolk, water, ?teaspoon salt and paprika until a soft dough forms.
4Knead on floured surface until dough is elastic, about 2 minutes.
5Divide dough in half.
6Roll half into 12" square about 1/16" thick; cut into 2" squares.
7Fill each square with scant teaspoon beef mixture.
8Moisten edges of squares; fold into triangles.
9Pinch edges together.
10Repeat with remaining dough.
11Heat oil (1") to 400°F in 10" skillet.
12Fry wrap-ups until golden, about 45 seconds; drain.
13Serve hot or cold.
