Asparagi di campo (cold marinated asparagus)

Ingredients:
3/4 smallOnion, minced
Salt
1 1/2 tspCapers, rinsed & chopped
1 tspLemon juice
Salt & pepper
1 eachMint leaf
1 lbsThin asparagus
Procedures:
1Place onion & salt in a bowl large enough to hold the asparagus.
2Mix well & let steep for 30 minutes.
3Add the capers, lemon juice & mint leaf & marinate for at least 1 hour.
4Mix thoroughly from time to time.
5Meanwhile, bring an asparagus cooker to a boil & cook the asparagus until tender but still crisp, about 3 minutes.
6Drain.
7Toss the still warm asparagus with the marinade & add salt & pepper.
8Toss gently & serve
