Almond pinecones

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cupWhole natural almonds
8 ozCream cheese
1/2 cupMayonnaise
5 sliceBacon, cooked and crumbled
1 tbspGreen onion, chopped
1/2 tspDill weed
1/8 tspPepper
Procedures:
1Spread almonds in a single layer in shallow pan.
2Bake at 300°F, 15 minutes, stirring often, until almonds just begin to turn color.
3Combine cream cheese (let soften first) and mayonnaise; mix well.
4Add bacon, onion, dill and pepper; mix well.
5Cover and chill overnight.
6To serve, form cheese mixture into shapes of 2 pinecones on serving platter.
7Beginning at narrow end, press almonds at slight angle into cheese mixture in rows.
8Continue overlapping rows until all cheese is covered.
9Garnish with artificial pine sprigs.
10Serve with crackers.
