Campbell soup - chinese pepper steak

Ingredients:
1 lbsRound steak, cut into strips
2 tbspShortening
1 canCondensed onion soup
Procedures:
1Pn pepper ?cn water ?c canned tomatoes 2 ts soy sauce 1 lg green pepper cut in strips 1 tb cornstarch cooked rice in frying pan, brown steak in shortening; pour off fat.
2Sprinkle with pepper.
3Add soup, water, tomatoes, soy sauce and green pepper.
4Cover; cook over low heat 30 minutes or until tender.
5Stir occasionally.
6Mix cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water until smooth.
7Gradually stir into sauce; cook; stir until thickened.
8Serve over rice.
