Ingredients:

| slice | Bacon | | 2
| lbs | Chicken parts | | 1
| can | Chicken broth | | 1/2
| cup | Chablis or substitute | | 1
| can | Sliced mushrooms (4 oz) | | 1/2
| cup | Sliced onion | | 1
| med | Bay leaf | | 1
| large | Clove garlic, minced | | 1/4
| tsp | Thyme leaves, crushed | | 1/2
| cup | Water | | 3
| tbsp | Flour |

Procedures:
| 1 | In frying pan, cook bacon until crisp; reove. | | 2 | Pour off all but 2 tablespoons drippings. | | 3 | Brown chicken in drippings; pour off fat. | | 4 | Add soup, wine, mushrooms, onion, bay leaf, garlic and thyme. | | 5 | Cover; cook over low heat 45 minutes or until done. | | 6 | Stir occasionally. | | 7 | Remove bay leaf. | | 8 | Gradually blend water into flour until smooth; slowly stir into sauce. | | 9 | Cook, stir until thickened. | | 10 | Garnish with parsley and bacon. | | 11 | Submitted by jane knox on 09-12-9 |
