Ingredients:
1 lbsBraunschweiger
1/2 cupMayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4 cupFinely chopped onion
1 Garlic clove, crushed
1/2 tspBasil leaves
8 ozPackage cream cheese
- softened
1 Garlic clove crushed
3 Drops hot pepper sauce
1 tspMayonnaise or salad dressing
Pimiento
Parsley
Procedures:
1In a medium bowl, mash braunschweiger with fork.
2Add mayonnaise onion, 1 garlic clove and basil leaves mix well.
3Mound mixture on plate; cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
4In small bowl combine cream cheese, 1 garlic clove, hot pepper sauce and mayonnaise.
5Frost braunschweiger with cheese mixture.
6Refrigerate until serving time.
7Just before serving, garnish with pimiento and parsley.
8Serve with dark rye snack bread or scrackers.
9Makes 3-?cups.
