Fried deviled camembert

Ingredients:
4 Pieces fairly firm Camembert
-cheese (1.5 oz)
2 tspAll-purpose flour
1/2 tspDry mustard
1/2 tspDried mixed herbs
Fresh ground pepper to taste
1 Egg, beaten
1/4 cupDry bread crumbs
1/2 tspHot chili powder
4 pinchCayenne pepper
Vegetable oil for frying
Fresh sage sprigs (opt)
Fresh rosemary sprigs (opt)
Fresh thyme sprigs (opt)
Procedures:
1Wrap and freeze cheese 1 hour.
2On a plate, combine flour, mustard, herbs and pepper.
3Dredge each piece of cheese thoroughly with mixture, then dip into egg.
4In small bowl, mix bread crumbs with chili powder and cayenne pepper.
5Coat dipped cheese portions in mixture, pressing on firmly with palms of hands.
6Half fill a deep-fat fryer or saucepan with oil.
7Heat to 375°F.
8(190"c).
9Or until a ? cube of day-old bread browns in 40 seconds.
10Fry cheese about 30 seconds or until golden brown.
11Drain on paper towels.
12Garnish with sage, rosemary and thyme sprigs, if desired, and serve at once
