Ingredients:

| slice | Bacon | | 2
| lbs | Sirloin beef cubes | | 2
| can | Beef broth | | 1
| large | Clove garlic, minced | | 1/2
| tsp | Thyme, crushed | | 4
| med | Carrots, cut in half | | 8
| small | Whole white onions | | 2
| cup | Sliced fresh mushrooms | | 1/3
| cup | Water | | 1/4
| cup | Flour | | | Cooked noodles or rice | | | Chopped parsley |

Procedures:
| 1 | In large, heavy, oven proof pan, cook bacon until crisp, remove, crumble. | | 2 | Brown beef in drippings; pour off fat. | | 3 | Add crumbled bacon, soup, wine, garlic and thyme. | | 4 | Cover, bake at 350 °F for 1 hour 15 minutes. | | 5 | Add carrots, onions and mushrooms. | | 6 | Bake 45 minutes more or until meat and vegetables are render. | | 7 | Gradually blend water into flour until smooth; slowly stir into sauce. | | 8 | Cook, stir until thickened. | | 9 | Serve over noodles or rice. | | 10 | Garnish with parsley. | | 11 | Submitted by jane knox on 09-11-9 |
