Ingredients:
4 sliceBacon
2 lbsSirloin beef cubes
2 canBeef broth
1 largeClove garlic, minced
1/2 tspThyme, crushed
4 medCarrots, cut in half
8 smallWhole white onions
2 cupSliced fresh mushrooms
1/3 cupWater
1/4 cupFlour
Cooked noodles or rice
Chopped parsley
Procedures:
1In large, heavy, oven proof pan, cook bacon until crisp, remove, crumble.
2Brown beef in drippings; pour off fat.
3Add crumbled bacon, soup, wine, garlic and thyme.
4Cover, bake at 350 °F for 1 hour 15 minutes.
5Add carrots, onions and mushrooms.
6Bake 45 minutes more or until meat and vegetables are render.
7Gradually blend water into flour until smooth; slowly stir into sauce.
8Cook, stir until thickened.
9Serve over noodles or rice.
10Garnish with parsley.
