Fresh corn and sausage fritters

Ingredients:
1 cupAll-purpose Flour, sifted
1 tspBaking Powder
1 tspSalt
1/8 tspPepper
1/4 tspPaprika
1 cupSausage, cooked and crumbled
1 cupFresh Corn off the cob
2 Egg Yolks, beaten
2 tbspMilk
2 Egg Whites, beaten stiff
Oil, for frying
Procedures:
1Sift flour, baking powder, and spices together in a mixing bowl.
2Add sausage, corn, egg yolks, and milk; mix until blended.
3Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
4Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls into oil heated to 360 - 365 degrees.
5Cook 3 to 5 minutes, turning to brown on all sides.
6Drain on paper towels.
7Makes about 24 fritters
