Ingredients:

| cup | All-purpose Flour, sifted | | 1
| tsp | Baking Powder | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 1/8
| tsp | Pepper | | 1/4
| tsp | Paprika | | 1
| cup | Sausage, cooked and crumbled | | 1
| cup | Fresh Corn off the cob | | 2
| | Egg Yolks, beaten | | 2
| tbsp | Milk | | 2
| | Egg Whites, beaten stiff | | | Oil, for frying |

Procedures:
| 1 | Sift flour, baking powder, and spices together in a mixing bowl. | | 2 | Add sausage, corn, egg yolks, and milk; mix until blended. | | 3 | Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. | | 4 | Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls into oil heated to 360 - 365 degrees. | | 5 | Cook 3 to 5 minutes, turning to brown on all sides. | | 6 | Drain on paper towels. | | 7 | Makes about 24 fritters |
