Ingredients:
2 lbsTo 3 lb pork (steaks or
-inexpensive pieces)
1/4 To ?cup shortening
1 largeOnion, chopped
2 medTomatoes, chopped
2 Handfuls flour
2 cupWater
Procedures:
1Garlic powder salt pepper cumin cut pork into tiny pieces.
2Brown in shortening; add chopped onion and tomatoes; stir together.
3Add flour slowly (do not use masa harina!).
4Stir till thickened as like gravy, then add 2 cups water.
5To suit, add: garlic powder, salt, pepper, liberal dose cumin.
6Stew on medium low for 30-45 minutes.
7Serve with refritos, spanish rice.
