Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupUnbleached All-Purpose Flour
1 1/2 cupWhole Wheat Flour
1/4 tspBaking Powder
1 cupWarm Water (110 F)
2 tspVegetable Oil
1/4 tspSalt
Procedures:
1These tortillas are lower in saturated fat, with no cholesterol and higher in fiber than traditional tortillas prepared with lard and white flour.
2Cornstarch, for dusting the tortillas stir together the first 6 ingredients.
3On a floured board knead until smooth.
4Divide dough into 12 equal balls.
5Dust lightly with cornstarch.
6Roll into a circle as thin as possible on a lightly-floured board.
7Drop onto a very hot ungreased griddle.
8Cook until brown spots appear on one side.
9Turn and cook on second side.
