Ingredients:
1 1/4 cupBread flour
1 cupWhole wheat flour
3 tbspRye flour
3 tbspYellow cornmeal
1/3 cupRolled oats
3 tbspQuaker Multi-Grain
2 tbspOat flour
3 tbspWheat Germ(honey crunch)
1 cupWater
1/2 cupMilk or cottage cheese
1 1/2 tbspVegetable oil
3 tbspHoney
1/2 tspSalt
1 1/2 tbspVital Gluten
1 1/2 tspYeast
ADD WHEN DOUGH FORMED
1/4 cupWalnuts(or other), chopped
1/4 cupSunflower seeds
1 tbspSesame seeds
1 tbspPoppy seeds
1/4 cupCarrots, grated(optional)
Procedures:
1Add everything (except the seeds and nuts) to breadbaker in the order appropriate for your machine.
2I have panasonic and use variety cycle which allows me to take the dough out, work with it, then put it back(minus the blade-very important) to continue to bake.
3If you don"t have this feature, you can just set it to a dough cycle and finish baking manually.
4The important thing with this bread is that you have to add the seeds and nuts separately because of the large qty, otherwise they will fly around the machine and make a mess.
5**for the panasonic, on the variety cycle, it will beep after about 2 hrs.
6And 20 min. (and will indicate 1:55 on machine).
7When it beeps, take dough out and put on a floured surface.
8Also take dough blade out of bucket.
9Add the seeds & nuts, carrots too if desired.
10(raisins can also be added as well).
11Work it into the dough, so it is spread fairly evenly.
12Put back in bucket, and press start.
13*** you can also roll out dough, place ingredients on top and then roll up the dough, tucking under the ends
