Fettunta toscana (grilled bread with tomates & basil)

Ingredients:
4 largeRipe tomatoes
1/4 cupBasil leaves, torn
6 sliceCountry style bread, cut
-- ? thick & halved
3 largeGarlic cloves, lightly
-- crushed
Salt & pepper
4 tbspOlive oil
Procedures:
1Wash the tomatoes & cut them in half.
2Remove as many seeds as possible & dice them.
3Set them in a small bowl & combine with the basil leaves.
4Grill or broil the bread slices & turn them so that both sides are light brown.
5Rub each slice with a garlic clove.
6Spoon some of the tomato mixture over the bread, sprinkle with the salt & pepper & drizzle with olive oil.
7Serve immediately.
8Variation: fettunta co rucola.
9Replace the basil with 1 small bunch of arugula, stems removed & leaves finely diced
