Ingredients:
1 smallOnion, minced
1/2 tspCinnamon
1/2 tspCumin, ground
1 tbspOil
3 cupRed lentils
1 ea Kombu strip
12 cupWater
Salt, to taste
2 tbspCilantro
Lemon slices, to garnish
Procedures:
1Saute onion, cinnamon & cumin in oil in a stockpot until the onion is translucent, about 2 minutes.
2Stir in the lentils, kombu & water.
3Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover & simmer for 1 hour.
4Season to taste & garnish with cilantro & lemon slices.
