Ingredients:
Wild cherries
Sugar
Bourbon whiskey
Procedures:
1Layer alternately wild cherries and sugar in a gallon jar.
2Place plate on top of cherries inside the jar to weight them.
3Cover and let stand until the next day, when there will be a quantity of syrup present.
4Add wild cherries and sugar each day until the jar remains filled after standing overnight.
5Cover, but don"t stir.
6Place jar in pan as syrup might run over.
7Store in cool place for six weeks.
8Strain and add one quart whiskey.
9Bottle and serve when a real treat is desired.
