Ingredients:
1/2 lbsBacon, Diced
2 1/4 cupUnbleached Flour, Sifted
1/2 tspBaking Soda
2 Large Eggs, Slightly Beaten
1 cupDairy Sour Cream
1/4 cupChopped Onion
3 tspBaking Powder
1/2 tspSalt
1/3 cupMilk
Sesame Seeds
Procedures:
1Fry bacon until crisp in skillet.
2Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
3Saute onion in 1 t bacon drippings until tender (do not brown).
4Set aside to cool.
5Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large mixing bowl.
6Combine eggs, milk and sour cream in small bowl; blend well.
7Add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just enough to moisten.
8Stir in bacon and sauteed onion.
9Spoon batter into greased 2 ?inch muffin-pan cups, fill 2/3rds full.
10Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
11Bake in 375 °F.
12Oven 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
13Serve hot with homemade jelly or jam
