Ingredients:
3/4 cupButter
2 cupSugar
3 Eggs
2 cupFlour
1/3 cupCocoa
3/4 tspAllspice, ground
3/4 tspCinnamon, ground
3/4 tspSalt
1 1/2 tspBaking soda
1 1/2 cupAvocado pulp
3/4 cupButtermilk
1/2 cupDates, chopped
1/2 cupRaisins
1/2 cupWalnuts, chopped
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350.
2Cream butter.
3Slowly add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
5Sift dry ingredients together, reserving ?cup.
6Fold dry ingredients into egg mixture, alternating with mashed avocado and buttermilk.
7Combine reserved ?cup dry ingredients with dates, raisins, and nuts; add to egg mixture.
8Pour batter into 2 greased 8-?x4-? loaf pans.
9Bake 65 minutes.
10Brush top of loaves with corn syrup and press pecans on top.
11Broil until topping bubbles.
