Ingredients:

| cup | All-purpose flour | | 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 2
| tbsp | Baking powder | | 2
| tsp | Cinnamon | | 1
| cup | Margarine | | 2
| cup | Oatbran | | 2
| | Golden Delicious apples | | | -grated with skin | | 2/3
| cup | Currants | | 3/4
| cup | 2 % milk | | 4
| | Egg whites |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon. | | 2 | Use two knives to cut margarine into a dry mixture until crumbly. | | 3 | Stir in oatbran, grated apple, and currants. | | 4 | In a measuring cup, whisk together 4 egg whites with milk. | | 5 | Mix egg mixture into oatbran mixture until moistened. | | 6 | Grease large cookie sheet and spread dough so that it is approximately 1 inch thick, 9 inches wide and 15 inches long. | | 7 | Score the dough into at least 18 squares. | | 8 | Bake at 375 deg f for 25-30 minutes. | | 9 | Best served warm with jam |
