Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsLean steak, cut ? strips
2 tbspAll purpose flour
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspFreshly ground pepper
1 tbspVegetable oil
1 3/4 cupBeef broth
1 cupCanned tomatoes with juice
1 medOnion, sliced
1 Clove garlic, finely chopped
Or ?tsp garlic powder
1 largeGreen pepper, cut in strips
1 1/2 tspWorcestershire sauce
Procedures:
1Chunks of zucchini may be used instead of green pepper.
2Coat strips of round steak with flour mixed with salt and pepper.
3Heat oil in a large frypan.
4Brown meat on all sides, drain off any fat.
5Add broth, tomato juice (reserving the tomato pieces for later), onion and garlic to the meat.
6Cover and simmer about 1 hour until meat is tender.
7Add tomato pieces, green pepper strips and worcestershire sauce.
8Stir-cook 4 to 5 minutes longer.
9Good served with rice.
