Holiday honey doughnuts

Ingredients:
1 packYeast
2 tbspWater
2 tbspHoney
2 cupFlour
1/2 tspSalt
2 tbspButter
1 Egg
1/4 cupMilk
Vegetable oil
Honey Nut Filling
Procedures:
1Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir in honey.
2Combine flour and salt; blend butter.
3Add yeast mixture, egg and milk to form a soft dough.
4Beat well and knead 5 minutes on a greased baking sheet.
5Cover and let rise in a warm place about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
6Deep-fry in 350°F oil 2 to 3 minutes or until browned on both sides; turn dough over halfway through cooking time.
7Drain on paper towels.
8Slit one side of doughnut and fill each with 2 to 3 teaspoons honey nut filling.
9Honey nut filing: combine ?cup each chopped dried apricots, apples and walnuts; stir in 2 tablespoons honey and mix well.
10Makes ?cup.
11Serving tip: serve with honey to drizzle on filled doughnuts
