Ingredients:
1 cupMolasses
1/3 cupButter or butter substitute
1 1/2 tspBaking soda
1 Egg, well beaten
2 cupCake flour
2 tspGinger
1/2 tspSalt
1/2 cupSour milk
Procedures:
1Put butter and molasses in saucepan and heat to the boiling point.
2Remove from fire and beat in baking soda.
3Add milk and egg.
4Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together.
5Mix well.
6Bake in hot waffle iron.
7These are delicious served hot with whipped cream and a sprinkling of nutmeg.
