Ingredients:

1/3 cupShortening
1/2 cupSugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 cupFlour or cake flour
1 1/2 tspBaking powder
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspNutmeg
1/2 cupMilk
TOPPING
3/4 cupSugar
1 1/2 tspCinnamon
1/2 cupButter or margarine (1 stick
-melted
Procedures:
1Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2Grease 15 medium muffin cups (2-?in. diameter).
3Mix thoroughly shortening, ?cup sugar, egg.
4Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg alternately with the milk.
5Fill the muffin cups 2/3 full.
6Bake 20-25 minutes.
7Topping: mix ?cup sugar and the cinnamon.
8Immediately after baking, roll puffs in melted butter, then in cinnamon-sugar mix.
9Serve hot.
10These are very light in texture.
