| 1 | Preheat oven to 350 deg f. |
| 2 | Lightly grease a 9" x 13" pan. |
| 3 | Mix flour, sugars, 1 ts spoon cinnamon, salt and ginger. |
| 4 | Stir in oil until mixture is crumbly and evenly moistened. |
| 5 | For cake topping, put ?cup flour mixture into a small bowl. |
| 6 | Stir in nuts and remaining cinnamon. |
| 7 | Stir baking powder and soda into remaining mixture. |
| 8 | Beat buttermilk and egg to blend. |
| 9 | Add to flour mix, stirring until batter just forms. |
| 10 | Pour mixture into prepared pan. |
| 11 | Sprinkle topping over pan evenly. |
| 12 | Bake at 350 deg f. for 40 to 45 minutes or until pick inserted in the center comes out clean. |
| 13 | Cool completely, in the pan, on a wire rack. |
| 14 | Makes 12 servings. |
