Ingredients:

| cup | Granulated sugar | | 6
| | Eggs, well beaten | | 1
| tsp | Lemon extract | | 4
| cup | Unbliached flour | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Baking powder | | 4
| cup | Pecan halves | | 2
| cup | White raisins |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat the oven to 300°F. | | 2 | Grease and lightly flour a 9 ?in tube pan. | | 3 | Shake out any excess flour from the pan. | | 4 | With a mixer or by hand, blend the butter and sugar together in a large bowl;beat until the mixture is light and fluffy. | | 5 | Gradually add the eggs and lemon extract, and beat well. | | 6 | Sift the flour and baking powder together three times; add the nuts and raisins. | | 7 | Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and blend well. | | 8 | Pour the batter into the tube pan. | | 9 | Bake 1 ?to 2 hours, or until a cake tester comes out clean. | | 10 | Cool the cake for 15 minutes, then remove it from the pan. | | 11 | Serve it dusted with powdered sugar, if desired |
