Ingredients:
TOFU & MARINADE
24 ozPressed tofu
1 tbspVegetable oil
2 1/2 tbspTamari
1 tbspWorcestershire sauce
1/2 tspGround allspice
CABBAGE
1 medOnion, chopped
2 tbspVegetable oil
4 cupShredded cabbage
SAUCE
2 tbspTomato paste
1 tbspVinegar
1 tspDill
1 tspSalt
1/2 tspSweet Hungarian paprika
Black pepper
1/4 cupWater
TOPPING
1 tbspCurrants
Cooked rice, barley or
-- mashed potatoes
1 eachDill pickle, minced
Procedures:
1Bake the tofu in its marinade in a 375f for about 35 minutes, turning the cubes 2 or 3 times during the baking.
2Saute the onion in the oil till translucent.
3Add cabbage, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
4Combine sauce ingredients & pour over cabbage.
5Add currants & stir to coat cabbage evenly with the sauce.
6Remove from the heat.
7Cover the skillet & bake in a 375f oven for 30 minutes.
8Serve cabbage over rice, barley or mashed potatoes.
9Top with minced pickle & baked tofu
