Ingredients:
PAIGE HUNTER
4 lbsBeef chuck roast, boneless
1 cupCelery, sliced
1 cupOnion, chopped
10 1/3 ozSoup, tomato or mushroom
1 tbspVinegar
2 tspBouillon granules, beef
2 tspSage, dried, crushed
1/4 tspPepper
1/2 cupCold water
1/3 cupAll purpose flour
Procedures:
1Trim excess fat from meat.
2Place roast in a slow cooker, cutting it in half if needed to fit.
3Add celery and onion.
4In a medium bowl, stir soup, vinegar, bouillon, sage and pepper together.
5Pour into crockpot.
6Cover and cook high for 4 ?to 5 hours or on low for 9 to 10 hours or until meat is very tender.
7In a small bowl, stir water and flour until smooth.
8Stir into boiling liquid around roast.
9Cover and cook on high for 20 to 30 minutes until thickened.
10Transfer meat to a warm platter.
11Serve gravy separately.
12Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles..
