Ingredients:
| 2
| cup | Dried green split peas | | 4
| each | Ripe bananas | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 2
| tbsp | Palm oil | | 1
| small | Onion, thinly sliced |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cook peas in enough water to cover until tender, about 1 ?hours. | | 2 | Peel bananas & lay them whole on top of the peas without mixing. | | 3 | Cook for 10 minutes. | | 4 | Add water if necessary to prevent sticking. | | 5 | Meanwhile, heat the oil & brown the onions. | | 6 | With a slotted spoon, remove the bananas & peas & add to the onions. | | 7 | Sprinkle in the salt & cook over medium heat, stirring gently but constantly, until the oil has been abosrbed. | | 8 | Serve hot |
