Appetizer: bacon-wrapped shrimp

Ingredients:
24 Uncooked large shrimp
Peeled and deveined
24 Canned whole water chestnuts
Drained
12 Bacon slices, cut crosswise
In half
6 tbsp(?stick) unsalted butter

1 8-oz. package cream cheese
Room temperature
1/2 cupMayonaise
1/2 cupSour cream
3 tbspPrepared horseradish
1 tbspFresh lemon juice
Hot pepper sauce (Tobasco)
White Pepper
Procedures:
1Wrap 1 shrimp around 1 water chestnut.
2Wrap in 1 bacon piece and secure with toothpick.
3Repeat with remaining shrimp, water chestnuts and bacon.
4Melt 3 tablespoons butter in heavy large skillet over high heat.
5Add half of shrimp and cook until bacon browns, anbout 2-?minutes per side.
6Transfer to large gratin dish.
7Repeat with remaining butter and shrimp.
8Preheat broiler.
9Beat cream cheese in medium bowl until smooth.
10Add remaining ingredients and beau until blended.
11Season with salt.
12Spoon sauce over shrimp.
13Broil until top is golden brown.
14Divide shrimp among plates and serve
