Procedures:
| 1 | Cream shortening, egg, sugar substitute and butter; add buttermilk and mix in flour and baking soda, apple, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, soda, cloves and vanilla. | | 2 | Drop on greased cookie sheet. | | 3 | Bake 7-8 minutes at 375 degrees |
