Ingredients:
1 tbspButter
1 largeOnion, sliced thin
2 tspFlour
1/4 cupDry white wine*
5 cupWater
4 tspBeef bouillon, or cubes
Freshly ground pepper
4 sliceFrench bread
1 cupSwiss cheese, shredded
Procedures:

3Melt butter in large saucepan.
4Add sliced onion, cover, cook over low heat about 5 min until onion is tender.
5Remove lid, increase heat to high.
6Cook and stir until onions are golden.
7Reduce heat, stir in flour and wine.
8Simmer 1 min. add water and bouillon cubes.
9Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 min. season to taste with salt and pepper.
10Place bread slices in 325f oven 5 min to dry.
11Pour soup into 4 heated ovenproof bowls.
12Place a slice of bread on top of each; allow bread to soak up soup, then cover with ?cup cheese per bowl.
13Bake at 325f 25-30 min until cheese is lightly browned.
