Ingredients:
1/2 cupBrown sugar, packed
1/4 cupButter or margarine, softene
1/3 cupApplesauce
1 Egg
1/2 cupWhole wheat flour
1 cupGranola
1/4 tspBaking soda
1/4 tspGround allspice, or to taste
1/2 cupDried apples, finely chopped
Procedures:
1Recipe by: fast & healthy, july/aug 1994 preheat oven to 350 degrees; coat an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2In a large bowl, combine brown sugar and margarine; beat well.
3Add applesauce and egg; blend well.
4Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
5Add flour, granola, baking soda and allspice; blend well.
6Stir in apples.
7Spread batter in prepared pan.
8Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9Cool completely; cut into bars.
