| | Stick oleo or margarine | | 1/2
| cup | Flour | | 2
| | Carrots, diced | | 1
| med | To large onion, diced | | 2
| | Celery stalks, diced | | 2
| med | Potatoes, diced | | 1
| pack | Frozen mixed vegetables | | 1
| can | Tomatoes (15-20 oz.) | | 4
| | Beef bouillon cubes | | | Salt, pepper and garlic | | | -salt or garlic to taste |

Procedures:
| 1 | In dutch oven size pan melt margarine. | | 2 | Add flour and stir until smooth. | | 3 | Add 2 cups water, stir until smooth. | | 4 | Add 3 cups more water, carrots, celery,potatoes, mixed vegetables, tomatoes, bouillon cubes, salt, pepper and garlic. | | 5 | In separate pan brown meat and cook onion. | | 6 | Drain. | | 7 | Add to dutch oven. | | 8 | Simmer 1 ?hours. | | 9 | Freezes well |
