Makos kalacs (aunt ann's poppyseed rolls)

Ingredients:
LISA CRAWLEY/TEASPOON
4 1/2 cupFlour
1 tspSalt
1 cupMilk, lukewarm
1/2 lbsButter
2 Egg Yolks
2 Whole Eggs
4 tbspSugar
2 Cakes Yeast
POPPYSEED FILLING
1 lbsGround Poppyseed
1 cupSugar
1/2 cupHoney or Maple Syrup
1 cupHot Milk
1 tspLemon Rind
1 tspLemon Juice
White Raisins (optional)
Procedures:
1Crumble yeast in a cup; add water and sugar; let it stand until you mix butter and flour as for pie crust.
2Make a well and add whole eggs, salt and yeast mixture.
3Mix until smooth and dough leaves the side of the bowl.
4Divide into 4 pieces and roll out as thin as possible; spread w/ filling.
5Roll as for jelly roll.
6Place on a greased pan, brush w/ egg yolk which has been beaten.
7Let stand in warm place for 1 hr.
8Bake at 350°F for 30-45 minutes or til brown.
9Filling: mix all together and cool.
10May substitute 2 ts.
11Vanilla for the lemon rind and lemon juice.
