Ingredients:
1/2 cupGhi
3 medOnions, finely chopped
1 1" thick piece of ginger
-peeled & minced
5 Garlic clove, peeled/minced
6 Whole cloves
1/2 tspCinnamon
1 tbspPowdered coriander
1 tbspPowdered cumin
1 tspTurmeric
1 tspSalt
1/4 tspRed pepper
3 tbspTomato paste
2 tbspYogurt, plain
2 lbsLamb, ground
1 cupPeas
Procedures:
1Heat butter or margarine in wide pot.
2Add onions and saute until they brown lightly.
3Add spices and stir well.
4Add tomato paste and yogurt and cook 10 minutes.
5Add lamb, breaking it into fine mince with a wooden spoon.
6Make sure the mixture has no lumps.
7Bring to a boil, lower heat and cook 50 minutes.
8Add peas and simmer to heat through.
9Serve with naan or rice.
10Yield: 8 servings as part of a large meal
