Angel biscuits

Ingredients:
2 packDry yeast, Ľoz each
1/4 cup-Warm water (110-degrees)
2 cupButtermilk, warm
5 cupFlour
1/3 cupSugar
1 tbspBaking powder
1 tspBaking soda
1 tbspSalt
1 cupShortening
Butter, melted
Procedures:
1Dissolve yeast in warm water.
2Let stand 5 minutes.
3Stir in the buttermilk; set aside.
4In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
5Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
6Stir in yeast/buttermilk mixture; mix well.
7Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; knead lightly 3-4 times.
8Roll to a ?inch thickness.
9Cut with a 2-?inch biscuit cutter.
10Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
11Cover and let rise in a warm place about 1-?hours.
12Bake at 450°F for 8-10 minutes.
13Lightly brush tops with melted butter.
