Ingredients:
2 tbspUnsalted butter
1/2 cupSugar
2 tbspGrenadine syrup
2 cupTart cooking apples, sliced
2 tbspSour cream
2 tbspHeavy cream
3/4 tspCornstarch
1 tbspCalvados or apple brandy

Procedures:
1Melt the butter in a medium skillet over moderate heat.
2Add the sugar, syrup, and apple slices.
3Stir to coat the slices.
4Cover and cook, stirring once, until the apples are translucent, about 5 minutes.
5Stir together the sour cream, heavy cream, and cornstarch.
6Stir the mixture into the apples.
7Bring to the boil, cook for 1 minute, and remove from the heat.
8Stir in the calvados.
