Shira-ae (tofu & sesame-seed dressing w/ vegetables)

Ingredients:
2 eachPieces Canned Konnyaku
1 eachSm Carrot, Scraped & Shred
1 tspVegetable Oil
3 tspSugar
1/4 tspSoy Sauce
1 eachLoaf Tofu
1 pinchSalt
6 tbspNiban Dashi
1 pinchMSG
2 1/2 tspWhite Sesame-Seeds
Procedures:
1Prepare in advance: bring 3/8 pt water to boil and drop in konnyaku.
2Return to boil and drain immediately.
3Bring another 3/8 pt water to boil and drop in the loaf of tofu.
4Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, drain and cool to room temperature.
5Wrap tofu in a towel and napkin and squeeze to remove moisture.
6Rub through a sieve over a bowl.
7Cook the carrots for 30 minutes.
8Heat oil over high heat.
9Stir in the dashi, ?t sugar, salt, msg, and 1/8 t soy sauce.
10Bring to boil.
11Continue to boil until liquid has reducet by half.
12Cool to room temp.
13Roast sesame seeds and grind into a paste and mix with tofu.
14To assemble and serve: drain the konnyaku and its sauce through a sieve set over a small bowl.
15Stir in 5 t of the sauce into the sesame-seed/tofu paste.
16Stir in 2 ?t salt, msg, the drained konnyaku, and the grated carrot
