1 tbspOil
1 largeOnion, Sliced
2 Garlic Cloves, Sliced
3 tbspThai Chile, Ground
1 tbspPaprika
1/2 tbspCoriander Seed, Ground
1 tspTurmeric
1 tspCaraway Seed, Ground
1 tspGinger, Ground
5 Cloves, Whole
1 Cinnamon Stick, 2"
2 cupCoconut Milk
1 lbsPotatoes, Peeled & Chunked
1/2 tspSalt
Procedures:
1Cut beef in 1" x 1 ? strips.
2Heat oil and brown onion and garlic.
3Add all the other ingredients, bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until beef and potatoes are tender.
4To make gulai bagar terong substitute eggplant, cut into 1 ? cubes for the potatoes
