Ingredients:
1 medChicken
MARINADE
1/2 cupTamarind water
1 tbspClear soya sauce
A pinch of chilli powder
1 tspGround ginger
1 tspGround coriander
1 Clove garlic, crushed
A pinch of turmeric
Procedures:
1The name means simply "fried chicken", and that is all it is.
2The marinade, however, gives it a characteristically indonesian flavour.
3Marinate the pieces of chicken in this mixture for 2 hours, turning them from time to time.
4Strain the chicken, so that the marinade drips away from it.
5Then deep-fry the portions, 4 or 5 at a time.
6Chicken fried in this way is excellent with nasi goreng.
7[nasi goreng is fried rice.
