Yuletide chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 cupButter or margarine, softene
2/3 cupPacked brown sugar, firmly p
1 tspBrandy flavoring
3 tbspDark corn syrup
1 Egg
1 cupDiced candied mixed fruit
1 1/3 cupFlour
1 tspPumpkin pie spice
3/4 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspSalt
1 pack(6 ozs) Ghiradelli Semi-Swee
-Chocolate Chips
1/3 cupChopped pecans
1/3 cupSlivered almonds
1/3 cupCurrants
14 Red candied cherries, quarte
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2Cream butter with brown sugar, brandy flavoring, and corn syrup; add egg and beat until very light.
3Coat candied fruit with 1 tablespoon of the flour; set aside.
4Sift remaining flour with pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, and salt.
5Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture.
6Add fruit, chocolate chips, pecans, almonds, and currants.
7Chill dough 1 hour.
8Drop by heaping teaspoon onto greased baking sheet.
9Top each cookie with piece of cherry.
10Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
11Cool on rack.
12Store in covered containers several days to soften and age.
13Makes 4-?dozen cookies.
