German chocolate ice cream

Ingredients:
1/2 cupSugar
2 tbspFlour
1/8 tspSalt
1/8 tspCinnamon
2 cupMilk
4 ozSweet chocolate, melted
2 Eggs, beaten
1/2 cupShredded coconut
2 cupLight cream -OR- Half & Half
1/2 cupPecans, chopped
Procedures:
1Combine sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon in a 2 qt saucepan.
2Gradually add milk.
3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
4Cook additional 2 minutes.
5Remover from heat.
6Blend in melted chocolate.
7Blend a small amount of hot mixture into eggs; return all to pan, stirring constantly.
8Cook 1 minute (do not boil).
9Remove from heat; add coconut.
10Cool.
11Blend in cream; chill.
12Stir in nuts.
13Churn-freeze.
14Makes 2 quarts
