| | Onion, chopped | | 1
| tbsp | Butter | | 2/3
| cup | Catsup | | 3
| tbsp | Soy sauce | | 2
| tbsp | Cider vinegar | | 2
| tbsp | Brown sugar |

Procedures:
| 1 | * cut in 2 to 3-inch lengths place short ribs on a broiler pan. | | 2 | Broil until well-browned to remove excess fat. | | 3 | Transfer to crockery pot. | | 4 | Saute` onion in butter until limp and golden. | | 5 | Pour in catsup, soy sauce, vinegar and brown sugar. | | 6 | Heat until blended. | | 7 | Pour over ribs. | | 8 | Cover. | | 9 | Cook on low 8 hours. | | 10 | Makes 4 servings. |
