Ingredients:
1 cupSugar
2 tbspCornstarch
1/2 cupLemon juice
Rind of 1 lemon, grated
1/2 cupButter
2 tbspBrandy
1/4 tspNutmeg or cinnamon
1/2 cupLight rum
2 tbspDark rum
Procedures:
1Blend the sugar and cornstarch in 1 cup of boiling water.
2Cook stirring constantly over medium heat until the mixture begins to thicken.
3Add remaining ingredients and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
4Serve hot over mince pie, pound cake, or pudding.
5Makes 3 cups of sauce.
